The Scope 3 challenge

Most companies are now measuring Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Far fewer have extended this into Scope 3 — the supply chain emissions that are often more significant, and significantly harder to quantify. Scope 3 supply chain emissions span upstream sourcing, manufacturing and components; downstream customer delivery across multiple channels; and a complex logistics web of transport modes, contracted carriers, sub-contractors and shared loads. nderstanding your true carbon footprint requires visibility of all of it.
